Khanh Hoa Province welcomed approximately 154,000 tourist arrivals, including 150,000 domestic travelers and 4,000 international visitors in July 2020, accounting for 19% compared with the same period last year, according to the Department of Tourism.
In spite of considerable increase in the numbers of tourists compared with last month (44,000 visitors), the room occupancy rate was only 9.7%, specifically 13.05% at 3-5 star hotels and 6.5% at 1-2 star ones. The total revenue from tourists was estimated at VND603 billion, accounting for 12.5% compared with last year.

COVID-19 pandemic has had significant adverse impacts on tourism industry. Since the beginning of this year, Khanh Hoa tourism has received only more than 897,000 overnight stays, down by 78.8% compared with the same period last year. With the 2nd wave of COVID-19, tourism is expected to continue to falter and hardly recover in the coming time.
