Long Phu Tourist Joint Stock Company has just given a notice of temporary closure of Orchid and Monkey Islands from August 10 until further notice.
There used to be 1,200 – 1,400 visitors/ day, even up to 2,000 visitors at weekend to Orchid and Monkey Islands in the summer tourism season (early July 2020),
However, COVID-19 has surged again and many visitors have canceled or postponed tours to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. The visitor number to the tourist sites has dropped to 50 per day, not enough for covering costs. Therefore, Orchid and Monkey Islands have to be temporarily closed.
