The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a sharp fall in travelers taking island tours, according to Tran Van Phu, Chief of Nha Trang Tourist Port, Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City.
Earlier, thanks to the domestic tourism stimulus program, Nha Trang Tourist Port welcomed more than 3,000 even more than 4,000 tourists/ day taking tours to Nha Trang Bay at weekend. However, since COVID-19 returned in Da Nang, tourists have cancelled tours to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.
Tourists to Nha Trang Bay have decreased to 250/ day at weekend and under 200/day on other weekdays. A severe downturn in tourist numbers has caused tourist canoes and boats to remain ashore.
