The local tourism leaders hope that the contest will find a logo and a slogan suitable for tourism of the province, creating a lever for the development of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism brand in the new period.

According to Pham Tan Loi, the author of the book Communications in Win-Win style, logo and slogan are considered the shortest and most concise invitation to attract international visitors to a country. In Southeast Asia, Thailand has succedded with the slogan Amazing Thailand, Malaysia is also impressed with the slogan Truly Asia... In Asian, Japan also has a successful logo with the white and red, inspired by the cherry blossom and the sun and the invitation Japan: Endless discovery. Korea also attracts visitors with the key phrase: Imagine your Korea.
 
Being aware of the importance of logos and slogans to the tourism brand, since 2000, the Vietnam tourism has searched and tested some slogans to promote tourism to international markets. In 2001, Vietnam adopted the slogan: Vietnam - A destination for the new millennium with the image of a Vietnamese girl wearing a conical hat with a bright smile. In 2004, the Vietnam tourism changed to the slogan: Welcome to Vietnam with the logo depicting a girl wearing Ao Dai to promote tourism, but it was not so impressive, so it only existed until 2005. In 2006, for the first time, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism opened a contest to design logos and slogans for tourism of Vietnam. The victory belonged to the S-shaped meandering lotus logo and the slogan: Vietnam - The hidden charm. With professional communication and marketing plans, many international tourists have come to discover “the hidden beauty" of the country Vietnam. At the end of 2011, the tourism held a contest and chose the slogan Vietnam - A Different Orient (Vietnam - A Different Orient) to promote. However, in early 2012, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration chose the slogan Vietnam - Timeless Charm instead. Currently, this slogan and the logo of the five-petal lotus are still being used by the tourism to invite international visitors to Vietnam.

According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, not only the country, each locality also needs a slogan and logo to promote tourism and attract tourists. Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is a famous tourist center of Vietnam, known by many domestic and international tourists. However, up to now, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has not had an official logo. Therefore, the provincial Department of Tourism has decided to coordinate with Khanh Hoa Newspaper to organize a contest to create logo and slogan for Khanh Hoa tourism to serve the tourism promotion and marketing in the coming time.
 
In order to attract tourists, along with attractive tourism products and good service quality, Khanh Hoa tourism needs to have a slogan with the message touching the heart of visitors, so that visitors want to come to this land. And when Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has its slogan and logo, it is necessary to have a methodical communication campaign to promote the value of the brand identity.
