Rail tickets for Lunar New Year 2021 will go on sale as of October 1. Train frequencies are scheduled to be reduced compared with last year due to COVID-19 impacts.
Train tickets for Tet travel are from January 28, 2021 to February 28, 2021 (or from 16th of the last lunar month of 2020 to 17th day of the lunar new year), according to the leader of Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch.
6 pairs of trains expected to run regularly on the North-South route include SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10 and SE11/SE12. COVID-19 impacts are blamed for reduced schedules for North-South trains with only 6 pairs expected to run during the holiday period.
