The number of tourists to Khanh Hoa Province in September 2020 is estimated to be 36,500, including 35,000 domestic visitors and 1,500 international ones, accounting for 6.05% compared the same period last year with the room occupancy of 2.6%, according to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Vice-Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
COVID-19 pandemic has caused considerable loss to the local tourism industry. The number of tourists to Khanh Hoa Province by the 3rd quarter of 2020 is estimated to be 1 million, including more than 427,000 international visitors and 603,000 domestic ones, making up 18.5% compared with the same period last year. The total revenue from tourism industry is estimated to reach VND6,055.5 billion, accounting for 21.5% compared with the same period last year.
