During the past time, Khanh Hoa has always taken the initiative in measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Two surveys carried by the provincial Department of Tourism in July and October 2020 showed that tourism businesses actively implemented epidemic prevention and control; fully equipped medical equipment to prevent and fight the epidemic like masks, body thermometers, antiseptic liquid, warning leaflets and panels. Besides, 20 hotels in Khanh Hoa have served as quarantine places for a fee, helping the province to welcome Vietnamese citizens back home as well as diplomats, experts and foreigners to Vietnam through Cam Ranh International Airport. Thereby, the province has created trust and good impression for people and visitors as a safe, friendly and hospitable destination.
To speed up the recovery of tourism, businesses have launched product packages to stimulate demand in the year-end travel season. Recently, Vinpearl has launched a super sale package with room price from only 1,050,000VND/night, free breakfast for 2 guests, early check-in, late check-out, as well as an instant 30% discount for culinary services, spa and entertainment at VinWonders. Eastin Grand Hotel Nha Trang offers Beachy Getaway package at VND2,440,000 (excluding taxes and fees) with 2-night stay for 2 people. This package includes 2 nights stay in a Deluxe room with complimentary upgrade to a higher room class, free in-room mini bar products and a VND500,000 cash voucher for culinary services at the hotel. In addition, Eastin Grand Nha Trang has Fabulous Four package for long-term guests or groups, which discounts of 25% of the room rate for at least 4 night bookings (corresponding to the room rate from 805,000 VND/night), etc.

Travel companies are also actively implementing many packages to attract tourists. For example, Viet Promotion Travel Service and Trading Co., Ltd has launched packages like 3-day/2-night package to stay at a 4-star hotel with VND 1,990,000/person, a 5-star hotel stay at VND2,090,000 .According to Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourism Joint Stock Company, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Travel Association, currently, the Travel Association and the Hotel Association are cooperating with the provincial Department of Tourism to build product packages for guests on Christmas and New Year holidays and the Lunar New Year Festival.
In an effort to restore tourism, the provincial Department of Tourism and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association also organizes tourism promotion and marketing activities such as participating in Hanoi Tourism Promotion Festival 2020 and Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM Hanoi 2020 (from November 18 to 21). Businesses participating in the recent Hanoi tourism promotion festival have received quite good feedback from the Northern market.
Referring to tourism activities in the last months of 2020, Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Tourism said, “The tourism industry is putting hope in December when the weather gets better and businesses organize vacation trips combined with seminars then, the number of visitors to Khanh Hoa will increase. Besides, the Christmas and New Year holidays are also a time for Khanh Hoa tourism to attract tourists”.
