Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism has just reported results of its implementation of tasks in 2020 and direction for 2021 to Khanh Hoa People’s Committee.
Accordingly, COVID-19 pandemic has had significant adverse impacts on tourism industry in 2020. The number of dwelling visitors to Khanh Hoa in August is expected at 1,240,000, making up 16.8% of the plan, including 435,000 international visitors, down by 87.78%; and 805,000 domestic ones, down by 76.6%. The total revenue from tourism industry is estimated to reach VND6,946 billion, down by nearly 82.7% compared with the year 2019.

At present, there are 1,113 dwelling establishments with nearly 50,000 rooms, including 125 three to five star accommodations in Khanh Hoa. 138 travel service businesses, including 22 for domestic and 116 for international travel services, are operating in the province.
