Champa Island Nha Trang will celebrate the coming Lunar New Year 2021 with “Cooking Tet cakes, back to traditional New Year” on February 5 (on the 24th day of the last lunar month). This is an annual event at Champa Island Nha Trang to remind visitors of traditional Vietnamese Tet values, according to a representative of Champa Island Nha Trang.
This year’s program will be held in Chandra walking town from 3am on February 5; and tourists will receive their wrapped cakes at Kubera Condotel on the morning of February 6. The ticket is VND150,000/ person, including materials, experiencing cake wrapping, street food, acoustic music exchange program, games, movies, etc.
Coming to the program, visitors will have a chance to try wrapping and cooking the cakes and then eagerly wait for the treat. Visitors will get materials from Champa Island Nha Trang together with wrapping instructions from experienced cooks. Especially, visitors can visit Cham Oasis traditional craft village to experience making conic hats, hand embroidery, weaving brocade fabrics; enjoying great time at nostalgic Champa 76 coffee zone with ancient vehicles.
In addition, during the night cooking Tet cakes, tourists will have interesting exchange moments with such folk games as beating pots while blindfolded, walking on stilts; together with acoustic music, Vietnamese traditional bamboo dance and animal circus. Also during the Lunar New Year from the 2nd to the 4th day, some other traditional activities will include unicorn dance, calligraphy, spring dance, folk music show, circus, physical games, outdoor movies, giving lucky money, making toy figurines, etc.
