Covid-19 prevention strictly carried out
Right after the third comeback of the Covid-19 in January 2021, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee, the provincial Department of Tourism issued a number of documents directing tourism businesses to tighten further measures to prevent and control the Covid-19. The provincial Department of Tourism has directed accommodations to strengthen managing guests, promptly notify the authorities when detecting guests from Hai Duong and Quang Ninh.
Major tourist sites and destinations in Khanh Hoa such as Vinpearl, Hon Tam, Champa Island, I-Resort Nha Trang, Orchid Island, Monkey Island... have strictly complied with epidemic prevention regulations. Chung Minh Van - the investor of Movenpick Cam Ranh Resort said that the resort has strictly complied with disease prevention such as asking guests to report medical and travelling history, checking body temperature of employeed daily, asking all people wearing mask during work, regularly sanitizing doors, elevators and public areas… During the 4-day holiday of the Lunar New Year 2021, Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh has welcomed 3,085 guests, the room capacity is about 38.5%.
Similarly, The Anam resort has also controlled the disease strictly. Although Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa is a safe place, tourism activities have suffered heavily from the epidemic. A lot of tours have been cancelled, but travel companies try to maintain their operations. Most tour operators have temporarily stopped taking visitors to epidemic places but still support tourists in non-epidemic routes, sell packages like transportation and accommodation rooms, and consult guests to safe destinations.
Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism said that with the current epidemic situation, travel in familiies, groups, short terms and short distance is preferred by tourists. Many families choose resorts for safe vacations. Therefore, travel companies can cooperate with resorts to launch product packages suitable to new tastes of tourists. “Resorts in Bai Dai (Cam Lam District), Vinpearl's resorts or Hon Tam resort ... with large space and distance can be good choice for families on weekends. However, tourists need to strictly obey the regulations on Covid-19 prevention”, Le Thanh said.
At the meeting with resorts Movenpick Cam Ranh, Duyen Ha Cam Ranh and The Anam, Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice- chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, asked businesses as well as the entire tourism industry to continue measures to prevent and control the epidemic of Covid-19. On the other hand, the provincial Department of Tourism and the provincial Tourism Association in association with the provincial Department of Health will set up criteria to recognize safe destinations, carry out the dual goals of preventing the epidemic and developing the economy.
In the coming time , the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Association will promote marketing for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to attract domestic tourists, mainly communication about the safe destination.
