Asiana Airlines (OZ) has just been licensed to operate a flight from Incheon (South Korea) to Khanh Hoa Province on September 18, said Le Thi Hong Minh, General Director of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, Cam Ranh International Airport.
The flight will carry experts from South Korea to work at Hyundai Vinashin Shipbuilding Co, Ltd. in Ninh Phuoc Commune, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province and bring South Korean citizens stranded in Vietnam due to Covid-19 back home. The flight from Incheon is scheduled to arrive in Cam Ranh at 22 on September 18 and the flight from Cam Ranh to Incheon will take off at 23:10 on the same day.
According to Le Thi Hong Minh, the Asiana Airlines flights are a good signal for resuming international flights to Cam Ranh. Airlines and travel companies are ready for bringing international travelers holding “vaccine passports” to Vietnam and Khanh Hoa is one of the priority destinations.
The Prime Minister’s approval of a pilot program to welcome international fully vaccinated tourists to Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) has offered hope for the return of international visitor flights to Khanh Hoa in the coming time.
