Cam Ranh International Airport is taking steps to build a “green corridor” to ensure safety during the Covid-19 when flights are resumed to the new normal, according to the leader of Cam Ranh International Airport on September 17.
Accordingly, the "green corridor" would comprise "green people" (vaccinated staff and passengers), "green infrastructures" (disinfected airports, aircrafts and buses before and after operation) and "green procedures" in which staff and passengers follow all Covid-19 prevention protocols, including wearing masks, disinfection, and keeping a safe distance from each other.
The first phase is applied on trial 2 weeks after the plan is issued with a flight frequency equal to 50-70% of that before the fourth wave in late April. The second phase will be applied for the next 2 weeks with the frequency not exceeding 70% compared with the first week of April 2021. In the third phase, airlines will be allowed to operate with the frequency not exceeding that in the first week of April 2021 and then move on based on their actual demand when restrictions under the Directive 19 are lifted in all areas in Vietnam.
Passengers are required to have been tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 within 72 hours before arrival.
