The Government’s Office has announced Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam’s conclusion on Vietnam’s plan to fully reopen tourism activities as from February 15, the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said on February 16.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam approved the suggestion by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other ministries and agencies on reopening tourism activities in the new normal in accordance with the Government's response to the pandemic in a safe and flexible adaptation and effective control.

At the meeting, proposal was made to the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism that international tourists would be required to purchase Covid-19 medical or travel insurance coverage worth USD10,000 (premium of VND30/person).
In addition, travelers must take a pre-departure PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure or a rapid antigen test within 24 hours. Those with suspected virus symptoms would undergo rapid tests at airports. Other passengers would have to self-isolate for 24 hours at their pre-registered accommodation, have rapid or PCR testing and be under health monitoring for 14 days in compliance with the Ministry of Health’s guidance and 5K regulations.
