“Nha Trang is more beautiful than I thought”
On the morning of December 8, the famtrip group of Korean tourism businesses and newspapers visited the Yersin Museum in Nha Trang. Knowing about the life of Dr. A. Yersin before, but when seeing the artifacts and images attached to his career as well as the respect of Khanh Hoa people to Dr. Yersin, Korean visitors were very surprised and moved. Next, the Korean famtrip group explored the culture and tourism of Khanh Hoa province by comining to the following points: Ponagar Tower, Chong Rock, I-Resort, Sealife yacht, Champa Island Nha Trang, etc. Coming to Ponagar Tower, Korean tourists admired at construction industry of Cham tower, enjoyed the folk dance performances of Cham artisans, etc. “Before coming here, I had knew some information about Nha Trang tourism. But when I arrived, I was really surprised, because Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is more beautiful than I thought. I will convey to the businesses at the Seoul Tourism Association so that they can promote the tours here”, Ms. Kwon Jung Eun - Executive Director of Seoul Tourism Industry Cooperation Association expressed.
Previously, the press group with 20 members from Korean press agencies surveyed tourism in Agarwood. Coming to Nha Trang for the second time, journalist Seo Jin-young of Travel News was still eager to explore the coastal city. Meanwhile, journalist Lee Sang-in of TTL NEWS was surprised when Khanh Hoa had many attractive cultural forms, especially impressed with Cham culture. He said he had taken pictures of the landscape and people of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa and would have a tourism promotion post after returning home. Impulsing cooperation, communication and promotion
Appreciating the quality of tourism products, the convenience for Koreans to travel in Nha Trang when there are more and more direct flights, however, representatives of Korean businesses and press agencies said that it’s necessary to step up communication and promotion to attract tourists from Korea to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. Kim Ji Young - Director of Mano Family Advertising and Event Planning Company said, "Korean youth are very fond of using social networks, so it is necessary to promote Khanh Hoa tourism on Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, etc. We look forward to collaborating with the tourism association and tourism enterprises of Khanh Hoa to promote communication to attract Korean tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa."
Regarding tourism cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Korean tourism businesses, Vietnam Tourism Ambassador in Korea Lee Chang-kun and members of the famtrip delegation said that at the end of October, 2022, Khanh Hoa had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seoul tourism cooperation association. That is the basis to advance to more detailed and closer cooperation plans, thereby promoting the exploitation of bringing Korean tourists to Khanh Hoa and vice versa. Korean businesses hope that the two sides will have concrete plans for cooperation, starting from 2023. Seoul side is ready to act as a bridge for Korean tourism businesses and Khanh Hoa to develop more; and Khanh Hoa will organize famtrip groups to survey Korean tourism in order to increase the number of visitors in both directions according to the win-win strategy.
Pham Minh Nhut - Vice Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that the association will have a meeting with Korean businesses to learn more about the tastes of Korean tourists; and, the two sides will have agreements on preferential policies for travel businesses belonging to the Seoul tourism cooperation association, providing images and video clips about Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to Korean partners to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa.
