More than 1,500 people, 85% of whom were foreign tourists, took island tours to Nha Trang Bay on January 23 or the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year. 1,077 visitors were recorded on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Most of them visited Hon Mun, Hon Tam, Bai Tranh Tourist Island, San Ho Bay, etc. according to Tran Van Phu, Head of Nha Trang Tourist Port Management Office under Nha Trang Bay Management Board.
Orchid Island and Monkey Island welcomed 500 visitors on January 23. Normally, the third and the fourth days of the Lunar New Year are the peak travel time for domestic tourists, according to Tran Minh Duc, Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourist Company, Vice-Chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.
