On the afternoon of January 1, Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism in coordination with Amega Tour and General Trading Company, Ltd., Cam Ranh International Airport and Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company welcomed the first international visitors in 2023. Present at the event was Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of local agencies and departments.
The SCAT Airlines flight carrying 174 from Almaty (Kazakhstan) landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 13:10 on January 1, 2023. Le Huu Hoang and other representatives offered greeting flowers and souvenirs to the visitors to Khanh Hoa in 2023 together with unicorn dance and traditional musical performance.

The travelers, mostly Russian, Kazakhs and Uzbeks, will stay at Vinpearl Nha Trang and other resorts in Bai Dai, Cam Lam, Khanh Hoa for 7-29 days, taking Nha Trang city and island tours. Khanh Hoa has seen a high growth in Kazakhstan tourist market, according to Do Thi Hang, Director of Amega Tour and General Trading Company, Ltd.
In the coming time, the company has planed to use large aircrafts to carry approximately 700 travelers/ week from Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa; and operate direct flight service from Russia to Cam Ranh from April 2023.
