Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism has just worked with Saigon Tourist Travel Service Co., Ltd. on the preparation for the Hong Kong - Nha Trang yacht race 2023, according to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism on March 22.
The 9th yacht race is due to start in late October with the participation of 15-20 boats. The race will run from Hong Kong to Ana Marina Nha Trang. At the meeting, the race organizing board suggested the Department of Tourism and relevant agencies would provide support to assure security and safety during the event. The two partners also discussed the cooperation in organizing programs and events on the sidelines of the race to promote the destination of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.

The biennial sporting event has been jointly organized by Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Saigontourist since 2004, helping enhance the tourist destination of Nha Trang in particular and Vietnam in general. The latest race was held in 2019 (The 2021 event was cancelled due to Covid-19) with 9 teams consisting of 100 racers and crew from the U.S.A, Italy, England, Singapore and Hong Kong (China).
