Khanh Hoa Tourism Development Steering Committee has just issued the provincial tourism development plan according to the Central’s resolutions on construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province. In particular, the province's tourism has set a target that by 2030, the whole province will welcome 13.8 million visitors, including 7 million international visitors and 6.8 million domestic tourists.

The plan was signed by Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee, issued on April 11, in order to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, bringing in trade. Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism brand has become a leading destination on the national and international tourism map, contributing to making Khanh Hoa become a center of international sea tourism and service according to Resolution No. 09 by the Politburo on construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, vision to 2045.

To achieve the above-mentioned goals, the Steering Committee has set out oriented tasks and solutions for the tourism development of the province from now to 2030, including Nha Trang as a tourist urban area, Cam Ranh as a tourism - logistics city, North Cam Ranh peninsula tourist area as a national tourist area, North Van Phong area as a world-class sea tourism urban area, a modern marine economic center of the province linking the South Central Coast region, the Central Highlands and the whole country; Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as the top destination on the Southeast Asian tourist map. At the same time, Khánh will develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector associated with environmental protection, development of auxiliary industries and occupations and linkage of inter-regional tourist routes; sustainable tourism development in association with ensuring national defense, security, social order and safety.

In addition, Khanh Hoa tourism has recovered and restructured its tourism orientation after the Covid-19 pandemic to attract domestic and international tourists, improve service quality, and focus on eco-resorts, high-quality entertainment and tourism ancillary industry. Khanh Hoa is one of focal points to attract tourists, especially foreign tourists, thereby sharing the number of international visitors to localities in the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and the whole country.

According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism, in addition to the general tasks and solutions, the plan also assigns specific tasks to departments, departments, branches and localities. Accordingly, the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone has the task of promoting and calling for investment in large-scale tourism projects in Van Phong Economic Zone, urging and supporting investors to implement the tourism projects that have been approved for investment policies and investment registration certificates in the area of ​​Van Phong Economic Zone. The Department of Tourism shall assume the prime responsibility for building the project of an information and support center for tourists; building a digital tourist map of Khanh Hoa; deploying the Khanh Hoa tourism stimulus strategy project for the period of 2023 - 2025 and orientation to 2030. Nha Trang City People's Committee implements a pilot project to build a smart city.
