Khanh Hoa tourism aims to joyful holiday

The coming National Day holiday lasts 4 days, so Khanh Hoa Province's tourism has prepared facilities and human resources to serve tourists. 

Slightly increase in tourist arrivals

As of August 29, the number of bookings in the province only saw a slight increase compared to the weekends of August. Resorts in Bai Dai such as Alma, The Anam, Fusion Cam Ranh and Radisson Blu reached 70%. 3-5 star hotels in Nha Trang have only about 50% capacity. The bookings for tours haven’t been too much. Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourist Joint Stock Company, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Travel Association, said that there have been 2,500 people registered for a tour to visit Orchid Island and 1,500 people to visit Monkey Island. In 4 days of the holiday, Orchid Island is expected to welcome about 4,000 visitors, Monkey Island  is expected to welcome about 3,000 visitors. Truong Thiet Vu - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Greentrip Commercial Tourism Joint Stock Company also said that the number of tourists visiting Nha Trang in the upcoming holidays is not too much.

According to people who have experience in tourism, it is normal that the number of guests booking rooms is not too high on National Day occassion. Through information exchanged on the hotel management team, while hotels with good locations have high occupancy rates, many hotels are still below 50% occupancy. It’s expected that  tourists traveling by private car from Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Ho Chi Minh City … on the holiday will improve room occupancy.

Good preparations

Although the number of visitors is not expected to increase significantly, resorts and entertainment spots in Nha Trang have done good preparations to best serve tourists. Large tourist attractions such as VinWonders Nha Trang, Hon Tam, I-resort Nha Trang, Orchid Island and many tourist destinations in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa have prepared services for tourists to enjoy entertainment. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism said that with 4 days off, the number of visitors to the province on the National Day holiday is expected increase compared to normal weekends. To ensure the best services for tourists, the provincial Department of Tourism has issued a document requesting tourism businesses to prepare the necessary conditions, focus on environmental hygiene, and ensure adequate facilities and human resources to serve customers, especially during peak days; and strictly implement price regulations. Organizations and individuals in transporting tourists are required to ensure transport business conditions according to regulations; comply with regulations on traffic flow, parking cars and boats in the right places to pick up and drop off passengers, limit traffic congestion before and during the holiday...

Nha Trang City People's Committee. also strengthens inspection and handling of food hygiene and safety, security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and price listing; promote propaganda and organize for businesses and business households to implement the code of civilized tourism conduct towards a safe and happy holiday.

In the first eight months of 2023, the whole province welcomed 5 million guests, an increase of 172.3% over the same period last year, 1.2 million of whom are international visitors, up 10.7 times compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue is estimated at more than 23,909 billion VND, up 152.2% over the same period.
