Khanh Hoa Province and Ninh Thuan Province strengthen links in tourism development 

On November 15, in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City (Ninh Thuan Province), Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism and Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism jointly organized a conference to sign tourism development cooperation between the two provinces. Attending the conference were Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee.

Cooperation to form unique product chains

At the conference, delegates emphasized that Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan are neighbours and have many beautiful landscapes, historical and cultural relics, folk festivals, traditional craft villages... From Cam Ranh International Airport to Ninh Thuan is quite close. The interesting thing is that the two neighboring provinces have many differences in climate, cultural and tourism resources, which is favorable for tourism development cooperation. “Both provinces have rich natural and cultural resources with unique, characteristic and complementary tourism products. Therefore, they can create a tourism product chain that is different and attractive, attracting domestic and international tourists," Le Huu Hoang expressed. Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Quoc Anh - Advisor to Ninh Thuan Tourism Association said that Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan have both similarities and differences. The tourism of the two provinces can cooperate to organize tours to experience Cham culture, Raglai culture...

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that in recent years, the tourism industries of the two provinces have linked tour routes to serve tourists. Many Russian and Korean tourists flying to Khanh Hoa have traveled to Ninh Thuan. Currently, Khanh Hoa businesses have organized tours  for 4 days 3 nights and 5 days 4 nights to explore Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan tourism. Among them, the destinations in Khanh Hoa are VinWonders Nha Trang, I-Resort Nha Trang mud bath and attractions in Nha Trang City. Destinations of Ninh Thuan such as Dong Cuu, Vinh Hy, Hang Rai, Nam Cuong sand dunes, Po K'long Garai Tower...

Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourist Joint Stock Company, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association shared: "We have brought guests to Ninh Thuan many times after they visited Khanh Hoa. Tourists coming to this sunny and windy land were very excited to visit grape fields, sand dunes, towers and craft villages of Cham people... However, some tourism products of Ninh Thuan need to be be further upgraded to meet the needs of visitors. Besides, Ninh Thuan needs to develop more accommodation facilities and organize more nightlife entertainment activities."

Towards substantive connection

At the conference, Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development between the two provinces. Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in tourism development with Ninh Thuan Tourism Association, focusing on building tours and joint tourism promotion publications.

Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the conference to sign tourism development cooperation between the two provinces will contribute to promoting the tourism image and scenic spots of the two provinces. At the same time, this is an opportunity for tourism associations and businesses in the two provinces to meet, exchange, link and cooperate in developing specific tourism products of each province; cooperate in advertising and promotion activities for Khanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan tourism to introduce tourism products to a large number of domestic and international tourists through domestic and international media channels; develop a variety of tourism programs, connecting tourist destinations of the two provinces, building "Two localities - One destination" programs and tours to attract tourists in the future.

At the conference, Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism to proactively coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province to research, build, exploit and develop tourism products linking two provinces, focusing on connecting the tourism triangle Nha Trang - Ninh Thuan - Lam Dong to promote effective regional connectivity according to the orientation of the Government, the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism, and provincial People's Committees. At the same time, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association presides and coordinates with tourism businesses in the province to participate in promoting and introducing tourism programs connecting the two localities; connect to build sightseeing tour programs and participate in events held in Ninh Thuan province; have attractive promotional policies to stimulate the domestic tourism market of the two provinces. Aviation businesses promote the restoration of domestic and international routes to Cam Ranh International Airport to contribute to promoting the tourism development of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan... Tourism cooperation must be in essence, according to the principle of mutual benefit. The tourism industries in the two localities need to proactively innovate and improve product quality; have connections to support and share tourists with each other; closely coordinate in promotion, advertising, and sharing tourism management experiences... to bring tourism to the two provinces to develop together," Le Huu Hoang emphasized.
