Westerdam cruise ship brings 2,000 passengers to Nha Trang last day of 2023

Westerdam cruise ship (Holland America Line), bringing 2,000 passengers, mostly from  Holland, called at Nha Trang on December 31 on an itinerary from Thailand to Vietnam. In the destination of Nha Trang City, the cruise tourists explored such attractions as Ponagar Temples, Long Son Pagoda, Dam Market, Nha Trang Cathedral; took a cycle rickshaw tour of Nha Trang seaside city and a culinary tour (to Xom Moi Market and Dua Moc Restaurant, Vinh Ngoc Commune), etc.

Earlier, on December 29, Celebrity Solstice cruise ship (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines) carrying over 3,000 passengers from the U.S.A, Canada, England and Australia called at Nha Trang on December 31 on an itinerary from Thailand to Vietnam.

According to the Department of Tourism, since the beginning of 2023, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 25 cruise ships with 46,000 travelers getting ashore for sightseeing. Khanh Hoa tourism has seen a striking recovery in 2023 with 7 million tourist arrivals, up by 181.6%  and revenue estimated at nearly VND32,000 billion, up by 142.8% compared with the year 2022.
