Cam Ranh: Many areas oriented to develop tourism

Cam Ranh is focusing on completing the tourism development project, promoting the formation of tourist areas, spots, and routes connecting with neighboring localities, forming a chain of links with diverse tourist products and services, attracting tourists.

According to the leadership of Cam Ranh City People's Committee, the orientation for tourism space development according to the general planning project of Cam Ranh City to 2030, vision to 2045 has identified 3 key tourism development areas. The central area includes urban wards of Cam Phuc Nam, Cam Phu, Cam Loc, Cam Thuan, Cam Linh and Ba Ngoi, focusing on shopping tourism activities, night market cuisine, walking streets, various types of street and folk art performances, marine tourism, spiritual tourism, hot mineral spring eco-tourism, etc. The northern tourism development area includes Cam Nghia ward and Cam Thanh Nam commune connecting with resorts organizing resort tourism, agricultural tours, experiential tourism... The southern tourism development region includes two communes of Cam Thinh Dong and Cam Lap, oriented towards the development of marine tourism, community tourism, marine sports activities, marine experiences... The development orientation of the areas aims to develop Cam Ranh into a tourism - logistics urban area according to the orientation of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Cam Ranh City has potentials to develop tourism

Hon Rong mountain area in Cam Ranh is oriented to develop stream bathing, mountain climbing, trekking, ecological gardens, resorts, sightseeing of Cam Ranh Bay, spiritual tourism, landscape parks... at the foot of the mountain and a point at the top of the mountain. At the same time, a national identity tourism village will be set up in Giai Phong village ( in Cam Phuoc Tay commune). Here, cultural tourism with exploring and experiencing Raglai ethnic culture is expected to develop. In the coastal area of ​​Cam Lap commune, boating, windsurfing, visiting natural forests, Lang Ong Nam Hai area, resorts, and cuisine will be developed. Here will connect Hoa Diem archaeological site, agricultural and countryside tourism in Cam Thinh Dong commune and Binh Tien tourist area (Ninh Thuan province) by Cam Lap - Binh Lap route.

According to Le Ngoc Thach, Chairman of Cam Ranh City People's Committee, along with the orientation of local tourism development, the city is building Cam Ranh City Tourism Development Project to 2030, with vision to 2045 to have an overall, scientific view and concretize the policies and orientations for tourism development of the Central and local governments; identify targets and spaces for tourism development, products, markets, and human resources; promote marketing and orient investment in developing infrastructure and technical facilities to serve tourism until 2030, with a vision to 2045. The project is expected to be completed and approved by the end of this year, accompanied by comprehensive reports, summary reports, map systems, diagrams, tables... to serve local tourism development.

Chairman of the city Le Ngoc Thach also said that the city is preparing to organize the first Cam Ranh Lobster Festival - 2024 with the theme "Brightening Cam Ranh Bay". Along with the implementation of the tourism project, the city will promote calling for investment, gradually forming tourist destinations and areas as expected. At the same time, the city focuses on mobilizing resources to implement tourism development projects effectively; complete spatial planning for tourism development, implement environmental protection measures, protect and embellish existing landscapes and monuments. “When the tourism development project is approved, the city will promote calling for investment, developing tourism infrastructure and facilities to serve tourism activities to uohold potentials and advantages, forming tourist areas, attractions, and tourist routes connecting with neighboring localities, forming a chain of links providing diverse, high-quality tourism products and services to attracting tourists”, Mr. Thach said.
