Nha Trang tourism promises to bloom in summer

This summer, Nha Trang will organize many cultural, tourist and sports events to serve the entertainment needs of residents and tourists. Among them, Nha Trang Beach Tourism Festival and Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival - Ever Glamor Nha Trang 2024 are key events that are expected in this summer.

Attraction of big events

In 2024, Khanh Hoa aims to welcome 9 million visitors, including 3 million international visitors; achieve tourism revenue of about 40,000 billion VND. To achieve that goal, the tourism industry has planned to organize many large-scale activities and events to attract visitors, promote tourism growth, and contribute to marketing for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as a tourist destination, creating an impression on domestic and international tourists. Among them, Nha Trang Beach Tourism Festival and Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 are considered "magnet" events to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa.

After the first success in 2022, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to organize the 2024 Nha Trang Beach Tourism Festival on a larger and more impressive scale. The festival was held from June 13 to 16 with the theme "Nha Trang Pearl Bay brightens", lasting for 4 nights, according to separate themes: Quintessence Sea Festival (June 13), The pearl bay brightens (June 14), The ocean dance (June 15), Sound of the sea (June 16). The program has about 200 tourism, service, commercial, and culinary booths operating in open space, helping tourists and residents easily visit and use products and services. Within the framework of the festival, there are also many attractive cultural - artistic, tourism and sports activities, such as "Hipfest Summer 2024" dance competition, bikini fashion show; dance, folk dance and music festivals; performing traditional musical instruments; fashion and art performance program "Honoring Vietnamese identity"; bartender perfomance; EDM music performance; Cyclo parade combined with Ao dai performance; Carnival of lights parade; Harley Davidson motor parade; fruit festivals and regional specialties, beer and coffee.

In addition, there are many response activities before, during and after the festival with special programs in many places in the province. “In addition to traveling by air and rail, many tourists from Ho Chi Minh City can go to Nha Trang on the new highway. Statistics from travel companies, accommodation establishments and Cam Ranh International Airport show that the number of visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is growing very well. Therefore, we expect to attract 400,000 domestic and international visitors to participate in the 2024 Nha Trang Beach Tourism Festival", Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, the Director of the provincial Department of Tourism shared.

The most awaited is still the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 to take place from July 13 to 20. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: "After the success of the light show with 1,653 drones in Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023, Khanh Hoa Province decided to organize a light show festival in Nha Trang, turning this festival into a unique tourism product of Khanh Hoa. This is the first time a light show competition has been held in Vietnam, but with experience in organizing many large events, Khanh Hoa believes it will bring an attractive program for tourists, contributing to affirming Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism brand". Accordingly, with the theme "Brilliant Galaxy", Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 will have 2 nights of competition with the participation of 4 teams from Korea, China, France and UAE. The first night is at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) on the opening ceremony (July 13) will see the competition between two teams Korea and China with the theme "Glamour Nha Trang". The second night of competition (with the closing ceremony) will take place between the two teams France  and UAE with the theme "Night of the Wonders" held at Vinpearl Harbor (Hon Tre island, Nha Trang city ) on the evening of July 20. Each team uses at least 1,000 drones to present the current and future culture and image of Khanh Hoa (performance of each teams lasts about 15 minutes). There will be also performances by Vietnam's top music stars. The provincial Department of Tourism expects that the festival will attract more than 50,000 people and tourists to participate directly each night, reaching more than 20 million audiences across the country through television channels and social networks.

Exciting festive atmosphere

This summer, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa also has many other entertainment, cultural and sports activities. Right before the 2024 Nha Trang Beach Tourism Festival, the National Club Sailing Championship and stand-up paddle board tournament in 2024 will be held at Ana Marina Nha Trang from June 7 to 9. Visitors will be able to admire the exciting competitions of sailing teams and excellent rowers nationwide on Nha Trang Bay.

Vinpearl Harbor, an attractive destination in Nha Trang

The festive atmosphere will continue with the WonderFest 2024 lasting throughout the summer at Vinpearl Harbor and VinWonders Nha Trang (on Hon Tre island). WonderFest brings together a series of jubilant entertainment tourism events including: Wonder Water War, street culture festival, carnival, beer festival and a series of exciting activities and shows every day. In particular, Vinpearl will launch the live action show "Rise of the Ocean Princess" at Vinpearl Harbor. With a stage placed entirely on the sea surface, applying top technology, sound and lighting effects, combined with brilliant fireworks on the sea, it promises to bring the audience eye-catching performances. After a successful launch earlier this year, this summer, Vinpearl Harbor continues to launch its second phasewith the opening of an Indochina-style commercial area, a Korean-style spa area... In particular, ưith permission from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, VinWonders Nha Trang organizes fireworks displays on weekends to serve tourists.

During the summer, the coastal city of Nha Trang will have attractive commercial and culinary activities like Khanh Hoa regional specialty market, Vietnam - Thailand shopping and culinary fair, Folk cake festival 2024... In addition, Nha Trang also has many sports tournaments, such as: National Libera Fun Fest 2024 running tournament; National Table-tennis Championship - Nhan Dan Newspaper 2024; National Youth Golf Championship 2024 and VnExpress Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2024.

Never before has Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa had so many attractive cultural, entertainment, sports... events in one summer. Therefore, the tourism industry expects to have a brilliant summer tourism season in the coming days.
