Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa makes preparations to welcome guest during National Day holiday

Khanh Hoa tourism has a brilliant summer. Currently, the provincial tourism industry is ready for the arrival of visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa during the National Day  (September 2) holiday which is the final peak of this year's summer tourist season.

Expected to receive more visitors than previous years

In recent days, hotels and resorts in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa have been contacted by many tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities, such as Dak Lak and Lam Dong to book rooms for the September 2 holiday. Most tourists booked 3-day, 2-night stays in Nha Trang or Bai Dai area (Cam Lam district). "With 4 days off, many families choose to travel to end the summer and create excitement for their children before starting the new school year. Most tourists choose nearby tourist destinations, so Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa will attract many visitors from neighboring localities during this time," said Vu Trong Thuc - Deputy Sales Director of Champa Island Nha Trang.

According to information from the online booking site Booking.com, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is one of the destinations that domestic tourists are looking for the most for trips from August 31 to September 3. Along with the stable number of international visitors, the occupancy rate of hotels and resorts in Khanh Hoa during the holiday is expected to be higher than every year. As of August 23, many resorts in Bai Dai such as Alma, The Anam, Fusion Cam Ranh, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh have almost sold out their rooms during the September 2 holiday. The resorts such as Radisson Blu, Movenpick Cam Ranh... also have quite high occupancy rates. In Nha Trang, the number of 3-5 star hotels with bookings reached more than 60%. "In addition to domestic tourists, the number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa is very good, especially the Korean and Chinese markets. We are expecting the number of individual guests to increase room capacity in the coming days,” said Vo Quang Hoang - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Hotel Association (under Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association).

In order to ensure the best service provision for tourists coming to Khanh Hoa during the National Day holiday, the Department of Tourism has issued an official dispatch requesting tourism businesses in the province to strictly implement regulations on price registration, price posting, and selling at the correct listed price; maintain service quality, ensure security and safety conditions for tourists, focus on fire prevention and fighting; ensure food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, and cultural behavior towards tourists, etc.

According to the Department of Tourism's estimate, in August, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 1.3 million overnight guests, an increase of 33.1% over the same period in 2023; including 416,000 international visitors and 915,000 domestic ones. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at nearly VND 6,323 billion. In the first 8 months of 2024, the whole province welcomed more than 8 million overnight guests, an increase of 61.1% over the same period in 2023, including .2 million international ones, 2.6 times higher than the same period. Tourism revenue is estimated at nearly VND 39,532 billion, an increase of 65.3% over the same period last year.

The Department of Tourism will increase its staff to arrange for a 24/7 hotline: *2258 to receive feedback from tourists and arrange for a staff member to be on duty at the Tourist Information Station on Tran Phu Street from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
