Khanh Hoa keeps promotion to develop tourism sustainably

Khanh Hoa tourism is about to complete the target of welcoming 9 million tourists in September 2024. To make a breakthrough in tourism, the province and the tourism industry will continue to promote and attract tourists to the land of Agarwood, especially in the international tourist market.

Many tourism promotion activities

According to information from the Department of Tourism, by early September, the province had welcomed more than 8.2 million overnight guests, including more than 3 million international visitors. There is still a high possibility that the provincial tourism industry will complete the target of welcoming 9 million visitors in 2024 in September. Currently, the province has planned to organize activities to welcome 9 million tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in 2024 to contribute to promoting Khanh Hoa tourism, expressing gratitude for the contributions of organizations and individuals to the success of provincial tourism in the past time. It is expected that the ceremony to welcome the 9 millionth tourist will be organized by the provincial tourism sector at Cam Ranh International Airport on October 1. That was an international visitor to Khanh Hoa on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Seoul (Korea) to Cam Ranh. Next, on October 13, the Province will organize the Khanh Hoa tourism announcement program reaching 9 million views and launch a tourism stimulus program with the theme "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism, come to love" at April 2 Square, Nha Trang City.

International visitors to Khanh Hoa are increasing.

Currently, Khanh Hoa tourism industry is aiming for 10 million tourists in 2024. To achieve this goal, the province and the tourism industry are promoting promotional activities to attract visitors to Khanh Hoa. Recently, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and 15 tourism businesses have exhibited and introduced Khanh Hoa tourism products at the 18th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC 2024). Many domestic and foreign travel businesses and Ho Chi Minh City residents visited Khanh Hoa tourism booths to learn about the province's new tourism programs and products. Previously, at the end of August, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Indian Consulate to organize the Hello Vietnam festival with the main activity being the India - Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Conference 2024; brought an Indian art troupe (including 13 people, famous film producers, actors, singers) and 26 delegates from Indian travel companies to visit, survey, learn about the culture, landscapes, locations, and tourism services of the province. Many Indian travel businesses have shown interest in organizing tours to Khanh Hoa, preferably wedding organization services combined with tourism for rich Indians at resorts in Wales Tram Huong.

Attracting more international visitors

According to travel agencies, despite the potential, exploiting the Indian and Australian customer markets is still facing difficulties due to the lack of direct flights. To increase the number of international visitors, in the immediate future, Khanh Hoa tourism is still waiting for traditional markets such as Korea, China, Thailand, etc. Therefore, Khanh Hoa tourism still needs to strengthen connection and promotion activities in these markets.

According to the plan, at the end of September, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will direct the provincial working delegation to promote investment, trade and tourism attraction in Korea. Also at the end of September, the province will participate in the Thailand Troubleshooting Conference in Da Nang (organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Da Nang City People's Committee and the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City). "Thailand is one of the key markets of Khanh Hoa tourism, ranked after the markets of Korea, China, Russia, Kazakhstan. Currently, there is one flight per day from Bangkok (Thailand) to Cam Ranh and there is a possibility of increasing in the near future," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism.

Along that shore, the provincial tourism industry is promoting the connection and promotion of the Taiwanese (Chinese) tourist market. It is expected that in early October, a famtrip delegation of Taiwanese travel and aviation businesses (about 30 members) will come to survey Khanh Hoa tourism to guide the increase in the number of Taiwanese customers coming to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. "Taiwan is a potential market with 24 million people, the third largest international tourist market of Vietnam tourism. With an average income per capita of nearly 34,000 USD/person/year, Taiwanese tourists spend quite a lot, like beach resorts, golf..., this is a strong product of Khanh Hoa. The biggest problem is that there is no direct flight from Taiwan to Cam Ranh, if this problem is resolved soon, the number of Taiwanese tourists to Khanh Hoa will certainly increase", Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Permanent Vice President of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association expressed.

Khanh Hoa tourism is developing best in the international tourist market. The province and the tourism industry's promotion activities will not only attract visitors to Khanh Hoa in the last months of 2024, but also realize the orientation of diversifying customer markets, aiming at sustainable development for the province's tourism industry in the following years.

According to information from Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, there are currently 32-34 international flights arriving at Cam Ranh airport every day. Of which, there are 20 flights from Korea to Cam Ranh, 8-9 flights from China, followed by Kazakhstan, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. It is expected that from the beginning of October, Ir Aero Airlines of the Russian Federation will return to exploit the route from Irkutsk Bay (Russia) - Cam Ranh with a frequency of 1 flight/week. Markets that are considered to have potential such as: India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan do not have direct flights to Khanh Hoa.
