Vietnam community tourism development project approved

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just approved a project to develop community tourism in Vietnam.

The project aims to have 20% of community tourism sites with community houses and traditional cultural and artistic teams or clubs operating regularly by 2025; at least 30% of community tourism facility owners getting tourism management training, etc. By 2030, community tourism products will be basically developed synchronously in major tourist centers.

The project also defines 7 groups of solutions to achieve the goals, including strengthening the integration of community tourism investment policies, making good use of capital resources, improving infrastructures, promoting product development; preserving and developing cultural values; effectively managing and improving human resources; protecting natural resources and the environment.
