Workshop on green and sustainable community tourism project

Nha Trang City People's Committee organized a workshop on December 2 on a green and sustainable community tourism project in Bich Dam.

Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Chu Hoi, Permanent Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Fisheries Association, leaders of Nha Trang City, Department of Tourism, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and tourism businesses in the province.

At the workshop, the consulting unit presented a draft project on developing green and sustainable community tourism in Bich Dam with the targets that Bich Dam will be recognized as a community tourism destination by 2025 and have 6-8 community tourism businesses by 2030, welcoming 30,000 tourists/year.

The delegates delivered their presentations to clarify the tasks, solutions, and investment resources to promote community tourism development in Bich Dam such as upgrading infrastructures, improving the landscape and environment, training human resources, strengthening institutional capacity, etc.

In addition, the delegates also suggested strengthening communication and promoting connection with travel agencies to turn Bich Dam to be an attractive destination for tourists.
