Azur Air to open direct flights from Russia to Cam Ranh

On February 8, the leader of Cam Ranh International Airport confirmed that some Russian airlines are planning to open direct flights to Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa. In particular, Azur Air (Russia) will start flights departing from several Russian cities such as Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and several other cities in Siberia and the Far East (Russia) to Cam Ranh at the end of February 2025.

Azu Air will bring Russian passengers on direct flights to Khanh Hoa from the end of February 2025.

Standing Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang and leaders of the Department of Tourism welcome Russian tourists back to Khanh Hoa after the Covid-19 pandemic (Azu Air flight in December 2021).

In addition, it is also reported that Aeroflot (Russia) has planned to operate flights to Cam Ranh this March, departing from Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, with 2 flights/week.

Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) is expected to become Aeroflot's second destination in Vietnam, following the current direct flight from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City. By adding flights to Khanh Hoa, Aeroflot will enhance the connection between Russia and Vietnam, catering to the growing demand for tourism and trade.

Russia is a traditional tourist market for Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general. At its peak in 2019, Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 463,000 Russian visitors, up by more than 4.5%; accounting for 71.6% of the total number of Russian visitors to Vietnam (646,524 arrivals).

The resumption of direct flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa will be a great opportunity for Khanh Hoa tourism to boost the Russian tourist market, contributing to the increase in the number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa.
