Khanh Vinh, about 35km from Nha Trang city, is a mountainous district of Khanh Hoa province. The total natural area of ​​the district is 1,167km², the population of the district is over 45,000 people, 73% of whom are ethnic minorities.

In 2024, the whole district exceeded the plan for 11 assigned targets. Of which, the total budget revenue reached 120 billion VND, exceeding the assigned target by 10.09%; the total industrial production value is estimated at over 74 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 23.5%; the total cultivated area is 8,108ha, exceeding the plan by 6.14%... During the year, the whole district had 173 public investment projects with a total planned capital of over 372 billion VND, actively contributing to infrastructure development, promoting the socio-economic development of the district.

In addition to its agricultural strengths, Khanh Vinh district is also a place with many rich and diverse landscapes, many high mountainous areas with a temperate, cool tropical climate but without weather phenomena such as hot winds, frost... In the highlands, fog often appears in the early morning, not thick, creating favorable conditions for the development of resort tourism, mountain tourism and growing fruit trees. In terms of natural resources, Khanh Vinh has the largest forest area in the province, a diverse ecological environment.

Natural conditions, geographical location, natural resources and climate, together with the unique traditional cultural features of ethnic minorities, create favorable conditions for Khanh Vinh to expand and develop eco-tourism, visit fruit gardens, resorts and promote and introduce traditional cultural values ​​of indigenous ethnic minorities. In addition to famous tourist attractions in operation such as: Yang Bay Tourist Park (Khanh Phu commune); Lach stream (Giang Ly commune); Nhan Tam 2 hot mineral spring area (Khanh Hiep commune) ..., places such as: Mau stream (Khanh Thuong commune), hot springs in Khanh Thanh commune, Ziong waterfall (Khanh Trung commune), Salawen waterfall (Khanh Hiep commune)... also have potential for tourism development. Therefore, the district orients eco-cultural tourism, associated with clean agricultural production, visiting fruit gardens as the main type of tourism in the district with a vision to 2030. From there, step by step develop eco-tourism associated with agricultural production, improve the lives of local people in all aspects; at the same time, implement in accordance with the orientation of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo to develop Khanh Vinh district into a small ecological urban area of ​​mountains and forests.
