Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa develops blue sea tourism

With favorable nature, sea and islands, Khanh Hoa has become a large-scale sea and island tourism center of the country and the region. Khanh Hoa tourism has had effective development steps, contributing a large source of revenue to the local budget and national tourism. Aiming to the sustainable development, the tourism industry is promoting the development of blue sea tourism.

When mentioning Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism, visitors immediately think of the blue sea, white sand, sunshine and green resorts on the banks of the blue bay. With a 385km long coastline and beautiful bays such as Nha Trang, Cam Ranh and Van Phong, with nearly 200 large and small islands... Khanh Hoa has the conditions to develop sea and island tourism. Over the past years, the province has focused on developing sea tourism, making Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa a leading destination in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Up to now, the tourism industry of Khanh Hoa Province has formed many high-class sea resorts such as Vinpearl resorts on Hon Tre island, green resorts like Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, An Lam Retreat, Hon Tam and a lot of resorts in Bai Dai like Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, The Anam, Fusion Cam Ranh, Radisson Blu Cam Ranh... Many sea resorts in Khanh Hoa have been awarded prestigious tourism awards in the world.

Regarding tourism products, in addition to tours to the sea and islands of Nha Trang Bay, Van Phong Bay, Nha Phu Lagoon, Khanh Hoa tourism has also developed many attractive entertainment services like scuba diving to see coral, sea sports games (parasailing, jet skiing, SUP, flyboarding, etc.). In recent years, Khanh Hoa has developed tours on Nha Trang Bay by Emperor and Sealife yachts. In particular, recently, Ana Marina Nha Trang has been granted an international port code, opening up opportunities for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to become a destination for private yachts of the world's wealthy.

Referring to the development of Khanh Hoa's sea tourism, Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared, in 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed 10.8 million visitors, including 4.7 million international visitors; tourism revenue reached 53,000 billion VND. The development of Khanh Hoa tourism cannot be separated from sea and island tourism.

Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, both set the following goals: By 2030, Khanh Hoa is expected be a centrally-run city; an international sea tourism and service center; a growth pole, the center of the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and the whole country in terms of marine economy. Accordingly, the province is focusing on developing high-end sea tourism products and green products. Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has consulted the Provincial People's Committee to develop a set of green tourism standards for Khanh Hoa province; consulted on the Khanh Hoa Tourism Development Strategy Project for the period 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2045, including proposed tasks and solutions to develop spaces and products of high-quality sea and island tourism.
