After the merger, Khanh Hoa province's space has been expanded, tourism product infrastructure has also become more diverse and abundant. Khanh Hoa tourism industry is aiming for a strong breakthrough, becoming a key economic sector of the province.

After the merger, Khanh Hoa has become a locality rich in tourism resources. The province owns beautiful bays such as: Van Phong, Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Vinh Hy; Cham towers and intangible cultural heritage of the Cham and Raglai people; Nui Chua - Phuoc Binh National Park, Hon Ba Nature Reserve... and many other cultural and tourism resources. At the same time, Khanh Hoa has strengths in infrastructure for tourism development such as airports, seaports, convenient road and railway traffic, and a very large accommodation system. According to statistics from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has 1,441 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 70,500 rooms. Of which, 111 establishments are recognized as 3-5 stars with 28,296 rooms, accounting for more than 40% of the total number of rooms in the province...
Needed strategic steps
According to Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome about 15.7 million visitors, including 5.7 million international ones with about 66,442 billion VND in the total tourism revenue. To achieve this goal, in addition to beach resort tourism, in the coming time, Khanh Hoa tourism industry will promote the exploitation of Cham culture discovery tours, sea sports tourism, mountain and forest ecology, and agricultural tourism in the southern region of the province.
Many tourism experts also highly appreciate the opportunities for Khanh Hoa tourism after the merger. Previously, Khanh Hoa was a major tourist center but not strong in cultural tourism. The evidence is that in the Vietnam Provincial Tourism Development Index 2024 report, Khanh Hoa's Cultural Resources Index ranked lowest among the 30 provinces and cities (before the merger) included in the assessment. But now, with the expansion to the south, Khanh Hoa has become a locality very rich in cultural resources, especially Cham and Raglai culture. “Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to promote Cham cultural values, build and exploit cultural tourism products. At the same time, the tourism industry needs to have a direction to invest in and exploit high-end sea tourism products such as cruise tours, sailing boats along the routes of Van Phong - Nha Trang, Nha Trang - Vinh Hy, Van Phong - Vinh Hy, or further away Nha Trang - Con Dao…”, Dang Bao Hieu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Focus Travel Group shared.
