Conference to promote tourism development and cooperation between Hanoi and Central Highlands

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak Province, jointly with the Department of Tourism of Hanoi City, hosted a conference in Dak Lak Province on September 24 to promote tourism development and cooperation between Hanoi City and the provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong and Quang Ngai.

The event featured the introduction of tourism products as well as the potential and strengths of the tourism industry of Hanoi and the Central Highlands provinces. Presentations covered such topics as Opportunities and challenges of localities in tourism development after the merger of provinces and cities; and the application of digital ecosystems in tourism management, promotion and inter-regional connectivity and so on.

The conference also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation on tourism development between the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa.

At the conference, Khanh Hoa delegation showcased typical tourism products and attractive destinations such as: Nha Trang sea and islands, Cam Ranh Bay, Van Phong Bay, Vinh Hy Bay, Ca Na; Cham culture, Khanh Hoa cuisine with seafood, Ninh Hoa spring rolls, jellyfish noodles, banh can, Vinh Hy grapes and specialty wines.

Especially, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association introduced unique tourism offerings and local specialties, including souvenirs, handicrafts, traditional specialties and OCOP products, contributing to promoting the destination of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa at home and abroad.
