At the meeting, the leaders of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center provided an overview of the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa tourism, as well as preferential policies to facilitate the new air route service.
After a four-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hainan Airlines will officially return to the Khanh Hoa with a commercial flight route from Haikou to Cam Ranh starting in December 2025. Hainan Airlines plans to operate the Haikou - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 3 flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; the flight time is approximately 2 hours, departing from Haikou Island at 8:50 p.m. (local time) and arriving in Cam Ranh at 11:55 p.m. Both sides pledged to promote comprehensive cooperation by developing appealing flight-and-hotel packages, with the goal of establishing a stable and reliable flight network.
Hainan Airlines is the fourth-largest airline in China. During the period 2016-2020, Hainan Airlines launched commercial flights from Haikou to Cam Ranh, contributing to the growth of Chinese tourists to Khanh Hoa Province. Hainan Airlines' plan to resume this air route is a positive signal for the recovery of the Chinese tourist market in Khanh Hoa Province.
