With the number of international visitors increasing by 28% in October and a series of new routes about to be exploited, Khanh Hoa tourism is recording impressive growth signals in the peak season at the end of 2025, promising to exceed the set targets.

Tourist market increasingly diverse

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in October, accommodation establishments in the province welcomed about 461,000 international visitors, an increase of 28% over the same period in 2024. This growth rate is significantly higher than the national average (22.1%), showing the strong attraction of Khanh Hoa tourism. In the first 10 months of 2025, the whole province welcomed about 4.6 million international visitors, an increase of 17.6% over the same period last year, reaching 88.5% of the yearly plan. Markets with large numbers of visitors include South Korea, China and Russia. According to Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the context of fierce competition between destinations in the region, Khanh Hoa still maintains its position thanks to its rare natural advantages, such as a long coastline, many beautiful bays and islands, and increasingly complete tourism infrastructure. Along with that, promoting and promoting has contributed to increasing brand awareness, enhancing the attraction of Khanh Hoa tourism to international visitors.

Except for the Chinese and Thai tourist markets, which tend to decrease, most markets sending visitors to Khanh Hoa have recorded good growth, the highest being the Russian and CIS markets, the Korean tourist market remains stable with the leading position. Khanh Hoa has also proactively expanded to markets in Western Europe, the US, Japan, Taiwan (China), Malaysia, Singapore... to balance the source of visitors, with a growth rate of over 20%. The number of visitors from these markets does not account for a large proportion compared to the total number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa, but it is very potential.

More new routes

One of the important factors that will contribute to promoting the source of international visitors to Khanh Hoa tourism in the last months of the year is that many international airlines have planned to open new routes or re-operate flights to Cam Ranh International Airport. Specifically, according to information from Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, Aero K Airlines will re-operate the Cheongju - Cam Ranh route from November 14; Scoot Air will start operating the Singapore - Cam Ranh route from November 21; Hainan Airlines will open the Haikou - Cam Ranh route from November 24; Parata Air will operate the Incheon - Cam Ranh route from November 26; Thai Vietjet Air will operate the Bangkok - Cam Ranh route from December 15. According to Nguyen Quang Thang - Permanent Vice President of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, the increase in flight frequency and opening of new routes by airlines will create favorable conditions for international tourists to Khanh Hoa.

A notable bright spot in the picture of the international tourist market of Khanh Hoa tourism is the strong recovery of cruise tourism. At the end of October, the Discovery Princess (Bermuda nationality) docked at Cam Ranh International Port, carrying 1,200 passengers. Before that, many famous cruise ships such as Norwegian Spirit, Celebrity Solstice... also docked at the port. It is expected that from now until the end of December, the province will welcome 7 more international cruise ships with about 10,000 passengers, bringing the total number of international cruise ships in 2025 to 26, the highest since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Khanh Hoa tourism still has a lot of room to attract international visitors in the last months of the year. However, there needs to be more solutions to attract winter vacationers and guests with long-term vacation needs in Khanh Hoa in some markets with high demand such as: Western Europe, America, Australia, Japan.
