Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 01 of the Provincial Party Committee on double-digit economic growth in the 2025 - 2030 period in the tourism sector, with impressive growth targets and comprehensive development orientations.
Creating a driving force to promote economic growth
According to the plan, the Provincial People's Committee aims to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, creating a driving force to promote other economic pillars to develop together, making an important contribution to economic growth, budget revenue and job creation for the people. By 2030, Khanh Hoa strives to welcome more than 31.6 million visitors with an average growth rate of 15%/year. Of which, international visitors will reach 10.5 million, an average growth of 14.2%/year. The province also aims to have 100,000 tourist accommodation rooms, about 75% of which meet 3-5 star quality standards, while creating jobs for more than 300,000 direct and indirect workers. “Resolution No. 01 of the Provincial Party Committee has identified tourism as one of the four pillars to promote economic development, aiming for a decade of double-digit economic growth, turning Khanh Hoa into a centrally-run city. Accordingly, the tourism industry needs to strive to achieve very high-level goals,” said Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.\

To achieve that goal, in the coming time, Khanh Hoa will prioritize developing tourism in a modern, quality direction, building brand reputation; address the shortcomings in the market structure and distribution of tourism products. The province will focus on developing types of sea - island tourism, conferences - seminars, ecology, community, resort, health care, cultural heritage and spiritual tourism, associated with environmental protection and preserving cultural identity.
The development space is clearly planned according to the advantages of each region. Nha Trang and Vinh Hy develop sea tourism and explore national historical sites and world cultural heritages. Bac Van Phong is oriented to become an international-class coastal tourism city. Northern Cam Ranh and Ninh Chu peninsulas are aiming for the goal of a national tourist area. Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve, Phuoc Binh National Park, Nam Cuong sand dune and Mui Dinh continue to be exploited tourist destinations for experience. In particular, the province focuses on developing natural eco-tourism in Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh and Bac Ai; community tourism model in Ninh Phuoc - Ninh Van, Tan Giang, Song Trau and Song Sat lakes; Ninh Phuoc vineyard tours, and new destinations such as Thuan Bac wind power tourism, Dam Nai Ninh Hai wind power field.
Regarding the market, Khanh Hoa focuses on existing core markets or those that can be rapidly expanded; at the same time, promoting and advertising to exploit new markets with high potential such as Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia... In addition, the province targets markets that are expected to develop on a long-term roadmap such as Northern Europe, Indonesia, the Philippines, Qatar, Eastern Europe - the Czech Republic, Poland...
Synchronously deploying solutions
To realize the set goals, the plan has outlined specific tasks and solutions. The Provincial People's Committee will issue the Khanh Hoa Tourism Strategy for the period 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2045; advise the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution regulating policies to support tourism development in the period of 2026 - 2030; implement the Project on Digital Transformation of the Tourism Industry and annual tourism action programs. The province pays special attention to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, combining the development of heritage tourism and community tourism. Mass sports and high-performance sports activities are promoted, organizing national and international tournaments in the locality. The overall program on promoting and promoting domestic and international tourism is implemented synchronously, cooperating with major media partners to build effective propaganda programs. The training of tourism human resources is supported, providing quality experiences for tourists, contributing to enhancing brand reputation. The province also aims to form national and international commercial centers; commercial streets, night tourism. Khanh Hoa's iconic products such as bird's nest, agarwood, OCOP high-tech agricultural products... will be developed and widely promoted.

The Department of Industry and Trade presides over and coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units to integrate the promotion of Khanh Hoa tourism brand and image into the Vietnam national brand program and domestic and foreign trade promotion programs; advise on the development of investment projects to develop commercial infrastructure in tourist areas and destinations to introduce, promote, and promote the exchange and circulation of goods and services, especially typical products of the province. The provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion takes the lead in implementing domestic and international promotion and advertising activities, regularly innovating methods, applying digital platforms and modern communication channels… The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association promotes the role of connecting businesses, building unique and diverse tourism products, participating in professional training activities and acting as a focal point to promote connections between businesses in the province as well as regional connections.
