Ana Marina Nha Trang welcomes first international cruise tourists

On December 7, the international cruise ship Costa Serena (Italy) docked in Nha Trang on its itinerary to Vietnam. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.

The Costa Serena ship carried 2,700 travelers (mainly from Europe) with  1,300 ashore to visit Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. The ship anchored at Nha Trang Bay, tourists were tendered to Ana Marina Nha Trang and then took tours organized by TICTOURS International Travel Company Limited to visit Long Son Pagoda, the national special monument of Ponagar Temples, Nha Trang Cathedral, I-Resort Hot Mineral Park, Dam Market, Skylight Bar, Tram Huong Tower... In the evening, the ship left Nha Trang for Phu My Port, Ho Chi Minh City.

Costa Serena is the first ship to bring passengers directly to Nha Trang since Nha Trang Port stopped receiving international cruise ships in early October. Previously, vessels bound for Khanh Hoa docked at Cam Ranh International Port before transferring visitors to Nha Trang and Dien Khanh. Along with Cam Ranh International Port, Ana Marina expands cruise line options for visitors to Khanh Hoa.

Since the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 24 cruise ships with 25.808 travelers. 7 more cruise ships with 5,000 travelers are expected to call at Khanh Hoa by the end of this year. This is a good signal for a striking recovery in cruise tourism, contributing to the success of Khanh Hoa tourism industry.
