Air Cambodia launches Phnom Penh - Cam Ranh air service on Jan.17

On January 8, Air Cambodia (Cambodia) held a workshop to launch the Phnom Penh - Cam Ranh air route. Present at the event were Bui Quang Thanh Nhan, Air Cambodia representative in Vietnam; leaders of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association; and representatives from 50 travel agencies in the province.

Representatives from Air Cambodia, along with leaders of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and travel agencies, pledged to cooperate in tourism development.

According to the plan, starting January 17, Air Cambodia will operate Phnom Penh - Cam Ranh air service with two flights per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline is expected to launch additional Siem Reap - Cam Ranh air service from mid-2026.

Air Cambodia representatives also discussed with Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and travel businesses in Khanh Hoa about cooperation plans in organizing Famtrip tours to Cambodia and two-way tours between Cambodia and Khanh Hoa.

Accordingly, Air Cambodia representatives highly appreciate the potential for cooperation with Khanh Hoa tourism. The launch of new flights to Khanh Hoa will not only make it easier for Cambodian travelers to explore the province but also enable Air Cambodia to attract visitors from South Korea, Russia, China, and other international markets via Cam Ranh International Airport. Air Cambodia will use ATR 72 and Airbus A320 aircraft for the flights.

With a population of 17.9 million, Cambodia is Vietnam's largest tourist market among Southeast Asian countries. By 2025, Vietnam is expected to welcome over 687,000 Cambodian tourists, a year-on-year increase of 48.8%. Currently, Air Cambodia operates 10 flights per day from Cambodia to Vietnam. The airline plans to expand its network with three new routes from Phnom Penh to Cam Ranh, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc in the near future.
