Vietnam welcomes nearly 21.2m international tourist arrivals in 2025

According to the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 21.17 million international tourist arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 20.4%. Breakthrough policies on visas, innovation in tourism promotion and marketing, along with increased product diversification and improved service quality, have been identified as the key factors driving this impressive growth in international visitors.

International visitors arrive in Khanh Hoa via Cam Ranh International Airport.

Among Vietnam’s top 10 tourist markets in 2025 were the U.S.A (848,727 arrivals), Japan (814,169), India (746,480), Russia (689,714), Cambodia (687,132), Malaysia (573,716) and Australia (548,471). Notably, Russian visitors surged to nearly three times the 2024 figure, exceeding even its pre-pandemic level of 646,524 in 2019.

This is the first time Vietnam's tourism sector has surpassed 21 million international visitors, marking a new milestone in the recovery and deeper integration into the global tourism market. It affirms the prestige and quality of Vietnamese tourism globally, creating a solid foundation for attracting even more travelers in the years to come.
