Visitors to Khanh Hoa by air increase sharply during 2026 New Year holiday

The number of passengers through the airport during the 2026 New Year holiday is expected to increase by approximately 15% compared to the same period in 2025, according to Pham Ngoc Kinh, Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport on January 1.

Many international flights are due to arrive in Khanh Hoa during the 2026 New Year holiday.

Specifically, from January 1 to 4, Cam Ranh International Airport serves 512 takeoffs and landings, a year-on-year increase of 4% and a 5% increase compared to the current week. They include approximately 321 international flights and about 191 domestic ones. The total number of passengers through Cam Ranh International Airport during this period exceeds 95,000, up by 15% compared to the same period in 2025 and up by 20% compared to the current week.

The four-day New Year holiday of 2026 offers a perfect opportunity for travel. Thanks to its convenient transportation and pleasant weather, Khanh Hoa is welcoming a large influx of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces. In addition, international arrivals from South Korea, China, Russia, Australia, and other countries during the Christmas and New Year season have surged, causing a high increase in room occupancy. Many hotels in Nha Trang and the Bai Dai area have reported occupancy rates exceeding 90%.
