Miss World 2026 contributes to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa during National Day holiday

The five-day National Day holiday this year is a golden opportunity for Khanh Hoa's tourism sector to welcome visitors. Travelers visiting Khanh Hoa during this period can not only experience unique tourism products but also immerse themselves in a vibrant atmosphere featuring a series of artistic performances celebrating the 81st anniversary of National Day, alongside activities associated with the 73rd Miss World pageant (Miss World 2026), which is currently taking place in the province.

A host of unique cultural and entertainment events

During these days, the central streets of Nha Trang are adorned with fluttering flags and colorful decorations; numerous hotels, restaurants, and cafes have been eye-catchingly decorated to create a festive ambiance for domestic and international visitors. Many accommodation establishments have also designed unique "check-in" spots where guests can capture memorable moments. Beyond domestic travelers, tourists from South Korea, Russia, and Kazakhstan are also excited to see the national flags flying across the city, taking the opportunity to snap souvenir photos that capture the spirit of the holiday.

In addition to decorations, resorts have prepared a variety of unique culinary and artistic programs. VinWonders and Vinpearl Harbour Nha Trang continue to draw visitors with "million-dollar shows" like Tata Show, Stunt Show… as well as thrilling rides. The Do Theatre continues to host regular performances, offering visitors shows rich in traditional cultural identity, such as "Dream Puppetry" and the "Chum Show". On the evening of August 30, the "Alora Nha Trang – Radiant Freedom" concert will take place at the Trong Dong Square in Vega City, featuring famous artists.

For this year's September 2nd holiday, Khanh Hoa Provincial Traditional Art Theater is organizing two performances for locals and tourists. The program comprises three acts: "Historic Autumn - Songs of the Homeland," "Song of Independence - Enduring Faith," and "Proud Traditions - Stepping Confidently into the Future." The performances are elaborately staged to celebrate the homeland and the country, honor the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and express the aspiration to build and develop Khanh Hoa in the new era. The theater is scheduled to perform for the public at 16/4 Square (Dong Hai Ward) on the evening of September 1, with a show lasting over 90 minutes. Subsequently, at 7:00 PM on September 2, the theater will perform at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang Ward) for 45 minutes, preceding the Miss World 2026 activities.

The Miss World 2026 events make Nha Trang more attractive.

A highlight of the cultural and entertainment activities in Nha Trang during the National Day holiday is the "Dances of the World – Hello Vietnam – Hello World" program, featuring 111 contestants from Miss World 2026. According to the program format, each contestant will wear a costume reflecting their national identity and perform a dance characteristic of their country, creating a vibrant tapestry of cultures from around the globe. In recent days, the Miss World 2026 organizing committee has been distributing free tickets to tourists and locals for the "Dances of the World - Hello Vietnam - Hello World" program and the grand finale. Many international tourists were thrilled to receive tickets to these exciting events. "I never imagined my trip to Nha Trang would coincide with such a special event. Getting free tickets to 'Dances of the World' and the Miss World 2026 grand finale is truly a wonderful surprise," shared Marina, a tourist from Russia.

Arrivals increasing

According to local hotels and resorts, Khanh Hoa receives a high volume of visitors during this holiday period. In addition to international guests, many travelers from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces have booked accommodations for the holiday. As of August 28, several resorts in the Bai Dai area like Alma, The Anam, Fusion Cam Ranh, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, and Radisson Blu Cam Ranh had reached over 90% occupancy.

In Nha Trang, 3-to-5-star hotels have recorded booking rates of nearly 70%; prime-location properties such as Novotel Nha Trang, Adamas Boutique Nha Trang, Liberty Nha Trang, and Sheraton Nha Trang have exceeded 90% occupancy. Hotels and resorts in the southern part of the province, including those in Phan Rang, Ninh Chu, and Vinh Hy, are also reporting very high occupancy rates.

Nguyen Thi Uyen Chi, Deputy Head of the Khanh Hoa Hotel Association, noted that while the influx of tourists to Khanh Hoa is significant, the local tourism sector is well-equipped to meet accommodation demands, boasting over 1,400 lodging establishments and approximately 70,000 rooms. Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: "The number of international tourists coming to Khanh Hoa is very good, plus domestic tourists on holiday, so hotels, resorts and entertainment areas are all focusing their resources and adding services to serve tourists."

In addition to festive decorations, resorts have prepared a variety of unique culinary programs for visitors. Beyond immersing themselves in cultural and entertainment events, tourists visiting Khanh Hoa during this period can enjoy luxury yacht cruises around Nha Trang Bay and island-hopping tours to appreciate the region's coastal beauty. Special national heritage sites such as Ponagar Tower and Po Klong Garai Towers, and cultural attractions like Truong Son Craft Village and  Old Nha Trang Craft Village offer unforgettable experiences through traditional activities (pottery, mat weaving, incense making, net weaving, and calligraphy) and familiar folk games.
