Only 5 minutes, a canoe of Nha Trang Xanh tourist village (Xuan Ngoc village, Vinh Ngoc commune) took us from the stopover at Ngoc Hoi Cultural House to the other bank of Cai river. Stepping onto the shore, we were amazed by the landscape of the tourist village. It looks like a resort, with green campus by coconut trees, flower gardens, lawns and bungalows... The space is airy, cool like a green oasis. Established in 2018, Nha Trang Xanh tourist village has an area of more than 6,500 square meters by the romantic Cai river. After a period of construction, the village has had many prosperous features. Currently, the village has many activities to attract tourists like sunset tour on the river, rural market, fishing, free swimming pool for adults and children, etc.

Ngu Trang Thon by Helint Co., Ltd. is another interesting spot. Here, visitors can do fishing in quiet space of rustic thatched huts between fish ponds and rice fields. They also can have the chef cook the fish. The village have hammocks for guests to relax and rest. Currently, the village have services including fishing, visiting a clean vegetable garden of 1,000m2 and enjoying fruits such as jackfruits, papayas, star fruits… for free, portable swimming pool for adults and kids, artificial grass field...
According to Tran Hai Minh, the owner of Nha Trang Xanh tourist village, building this place is a turn of his life. He was formerly an agricultural engineer working at an agency, but he quit his job and built his family's garden as a tourist spot. He plans to develop Nha Trang Xanh in the direction of community-based tourism by Cai river, conserve traditional craft villages, build games on the water surface such as team building, boat rowing, basket rowing, fish grasping, coconut picking, etc.
Nguyen Nguyet Trang, director of Helint Co., Ltd. shared that she aims to to develop Ngu Trang Thon in the direction of experiential tourism and community tourism. Accordingly, the place will form a tourism trade village build containers for homestay, organize camping activities, etc. However, Covid-19 epidemic has paused her plans. Anyway, owners of the tourist villages of Nha Trang are determined to develop their tourist spots and promote tourism in suburban areas.
According to Nguyen Trung Dung - Chairman of Nha Trang City Farmers’ Association, currently, the trend of community tourism is growing. The whole city has nearly 10 spots such as Sau Loc chicken island, Nha Trang Xanh tourist village, Ngu Trang Thon, Ao Thu, Nha Trang mushroom, Dac Loc clean vegetables, Vinh Luong fruit trees, Vinh Trung apricot, Vinh Thai mat weaving, Vinh Thanh ancient house ... This kind of tourism is expected to develop in the near future with the highlight of the countryside with various traditional crafts combining with the tourism by river. Nha Trang City Farmers’ Association is building a project to develop agricultural - rural tourism associated with community ecotourism in the period of 2021 - 2030 as a foundation for the development of community tourism in the coming time.
