Awaiting jazz night program

The first international jazz festival in Vietnam and Nha Trang City is going to take place from April 27 to May 1. With the participation of many well-known Vietnamese and international artists, the international jazz festival promises to bring audience high-class performances. 

Gathering top artists

Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, recently had a meeting with Khanh Hoa Province’s leaders on preparation for the 1st international jazz festival - Nha Trang 2024, the first large-scale, high-class jazz festival held in Vietnam. Nha Trang was selected to be the venue for jazz festival. The festival will feature different genres of jazz (Classic, Bossa Nova, Jazz Funk, World Music) performed by many well-known artists and bands of Vietnam and other countries. It is expected that the festival will become an annual musical event in Nha Trang City and that Nha Trang will turn into a tourism and musical destination.

According to the organization committee, the jazz festival will feature over 200 Vietnamese and international singers, musicians, artists, and dancers namely Thu Minh, Tung Duong, My Linh and Brothers Band, My Anh, Phuong Vy, Tran Manh Tuan, Nguyen Hai Phong, Tung Sax, Duong Cam Band, Saigon Win band, Glozy Jazz band, Hong Kien Bigband (Vietnam), Jazz Chico Freeman (the USA), Lisa Sung (South Korea), Amanda Lee (Singapore), etc. The international jazz festival takes place at 2-4 Square (April 27, 29 and May 1 nights) and Youth football stadium (April 28, 30 nights). Each night show features a genre of jazz. The themes of the program include “The spotlight off jazz” (April 27); “Living the legend” (April 28); “The Latin night” (April 29); “The Collection” (April 30); “Jazz flows” (May 1).

An opportunity to promote Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa

This 1st international jazz festival - Nha Trang 2024 is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. This is a unique cultural and art event and a highlight to introduce and promote the natural beauty, culture, and people of Vietnam in general and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular to people in the world. Reportedly, the artists have been encouraged to introduce and promote the program as well as the images of the country, Vietnamese and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa people through their social media sites. 

With the aim to organize the 1st international jazz festival successfully and making it a typical musical event of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, the relavent units are actively preparing for the facilities and other works to ensure the quality of the festival, the security and safety for the participants and audience, as well as advertisement for the festival. 

As said by Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the fact that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as the venue for the 1st international jazz festival once again affirms Nha Trang as a venue of events. This is a good opportunity for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to introduce its potential, strengths, values, and beauties to domestic and international tourists and investors.
