4-star OCOP products

Many good-quality products of Khanh Hoa have met the strict criteria of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program to achieve 4-star OCOP products.

green Okinawa seaweed bunches originating from Japan, when coming to Khanh Hoa land, have brought all the precious essence of this food, and increasingly affirmed the outstanding quality. That is the story of Tri Tin seaweed products in Ninh Hoa town. This is the first product to be scored 97 out of 100 points by the provincial OCOP Council, submitted to the Central Evaluation and Classification Council for consideration and recognition as a national OCOP product (5 stars).

In addition to seaweed, Tri Tin Company Limited also brought the V.robi seaweed snack product to participate in the OCOP Program. The product uses seaweed to create thin, light, crispy seaweed slices with delicious flavor, rich nutrients, deep processing content, accepted and highly appreciated by the Provincial Science and Technology Council; scored 86/100 points by the Provincial OCOP Council and recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a 4-star OCOP product.

The list of 4-star OCOP products also includes fried fish cakes and steamed fish cakes of the Thuan fish cake brand in Van Phu commune (Van Ninh district). Processed from fresh seafood from Van Ninh sea, through the skillful hands of the people here, Thuan fish cake has tasty, crispy and soft. The product is manufactured according to strict processes meeting HACCP standards to ensure safety and quality for diners.

Another 4-star OCOP products is Phuong Dai frozen durian products of Khanh Son Ecological Investment Joint Stock Company. The ripe, fragrant durians are separated from the segments, then frozen using deep freezing technology to ensure the original flavor. This helps the market to use Khanh Son durian specialties all year round instead of just a few main months as before.

In 2023, the province has 133 products from 72 entities participating in the OCOP Program. In addition to the 4-star products assessed by the Provincial People's Committee, localities have also assessed, decided to recognize and rank 94 products that achieved 3-star OCOP at the district level. In 2024, the province has 185 products registered to participate in the OCOP Program.
