Over 6,000 people participate in Olympic Running Day in Nha Trang City

Nha Trang City People’s Committee organized Olympic Running Day at 2-4 Square on March 24 morning.

The event attracted the participation of the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports and Nha Trang City People's Committee; more than 6,000 people from agencies and units of different blocs such as military bloc (Naval Academy, Air Force Officer’s College), public employees-police-pioneering youths bloc and provincial youth union bloc (Nha Trang University, Medical College, Khanh Hoa University, Tourism College, Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy, businesses), city youth union bloc (schools of Ha Huy Tap School, Pham Van Dong, Hoang Van Thu, Ly Tu Trong, Nguyen Thien Thuat, Ischool, Ethnic Boarding School...); communes, wards and Nha Trang Runner Club.

The participants ran 1km along Tran Phu Street. This was an annual activity of Nha Trang City, aiming to promote physical exercise and sports movement among the public. Besides, the 2024 edition of Olympic Running Day was also an activity to celebrate 100 years of construction and development of Nha Trang City (1924 - 2024) and 15th year since Nha Trang was recognized as class 1 municipality under Khanh Hoa Province.

On the same day, Nha Trang City People’s Committee held the city cross-country running championships 2024, joined by 102 male and 66 female participants from 26 localities in the city. The female runners ran 2km and male runners ran 4km along Tran Phu Street. At the end of the race, the organization board gave 4 sets of medals to the outstanding individuals and teams.
