The volunteer summer campaign 2024 is going to kick off with several meaningful activities.

The peak volunteer summer campaign runs from June to August with practical activities towards disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority communities in Khanh Hoa Province, especially in Suoi Cau Village, Khanh Dong Commune, Khanh Vinh District to help the locality to fulfill new rural construction criteria 2024.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, the campaign is to deploy meaningful projects meeting the needs of local residents and communities. The campaign targets at basic criteria such as building at least 15 houses, cultivating at least 150,000 trees, providing start-up training for at least 2,000 young people, assisting at least 5,000 children in need, etc., contributing to promoting the youth’s volunteerism and protecting the environment in socio-economic development, new rural construction and civilized urban development, social security and national defense, especially in remote areas, on islands and in ethnic minority communities.

Under the direction of the Central Youth Union Secretariat, the volunteer summer campaign 2024 includes the exam season support program and 4 campaigns, namely Green summer volunteering, “Red flamboyant”, “Pink vacation” and "Green military operations". Specific tasks are assigned to the Youth Unions Students’ Association, Youth Federation of schools, and Youth Union affiliations under the Provincial Youth Union.

There will be peak periods in the campaign to help further expand the program such as helping children in need (June), developing "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized - safe" urban areas (June 29) and protecting and promoting natural surroundings in rural areas expected (July 21).

The launching ceremony of the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is expected to be held in early June. Together with volunteer activities, the Youth Union will continue promoting digital transformation in all aspects of tasks; and focus on boosting joint effort with local communities when implementing volunteer activities. Besides, the Provincial Youth Union has required Youth Union affiliations to ensure safety during volunteer activities.
