Typhoon Kalmaegi is intensifying as it moves westward across the East Sea, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. On November 3, it was located east of the central Philippines with sustained winds at level 12 (118–133 km/h), gusting to level 15. By November 5, it is expected to reach level 13, gusting to level 16, heading toward coastal provinces from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa.

Starting November 4, strong winds and rough seas will impact the eastern East Sea, with waves reaching up to 7 meters. On November 5–6, areas including the Spratly Islands and offshore waters from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa may experience winds up to level 14, gusting above level 17, and waves as high as 10 meters.
From November 6–8, moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the region, with totals between 50–150mm and over 200mm in northern areas. Flooding, landslides, and flash floods are likely, especially in low-lying and mountainous zones.
