On the occasion of the establishment of Vietnam Triathlon Federation (2024-2029 term), the federation cooperated with the Sports Authority of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports to organize the 2024 national triathlon club championship. Nearly 100 male and female athletes of 12 teams from provinces, cities and industries nationwide joined the championship in 13 events of triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon. Although this was the first national club tournament, it attracted many outstanding domestic triathon athletes, who competed at SEA Games and the 9th national sports festival. At the championship, Khanh Hoa duathlon athletes competed in female champion women’s and junior duathlon (cycling - running), junior men's aquathlon (swimming - running) and duathlon relay, which were the forte of Khanh Hoa athletes.

As expected, after 3 days of competition (May 4 to 6), Khanh Hoa duathlon team won 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, ranking 2nd behind the host team Ho Chi Minh City, who placed first with 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals and4 bronze medals. The 3 gold medals of Khanh Hoa included 1 gold in women’s duathlon sprint, 1 gold in junior men’s duathlon and 1 gold in junior women’s duathlon. This could be considered an encouraging result for Khanh Hoa athletes in the current competitive situation of the national tournaments.

According to Nguyen Minh Dat, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports technique Training Center, with the achievements of Khanh Hoa duathlon team at the 2024 national triathlon club championship, it can be said that duathlon is a potential sport of Khanh Hoa’s sports.
