Infrastructure of Van Phong Economic Zone gradually improves

To build framework infrastructure and attract investors to Van Phong Economic Zone, from 2007 up to now, many roads serving the development of this area have been built and put into operation. Currently, many key projects here have been invested to gradually improve infrastructure, creating momentum for the economic zone.

In April 2006, the Prime Minister issued a decision to establish Van Phong Economic Zone, with a total area of about 150,000 hectares. After that, Khanh Hoa province focused many resources on implementing the plan, building technical and social infrastructure, developing mechanisms and investment incentive policies, calling for investment...

To create motivation for the development of Van Phong Economic Zone, the first thing is to build infrastructure. Therefore, since 2007, the province has invested in building Dam Mon road (section 2 in Van Thanh commune, Van Ninh district) with 4.2km in length. Up to now, nearly 35km of roads have been invested and put into operation in Van Phong Economic Zone to attract investment. Specifically, the route from National Road 1 to Dam Mon has a length of about 14.3km; Provincial Road 651D, phase 1 (section from National Road 1 to Hon Khoi port, Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town) is about 7km long; Reroute Provincial Road 1B from Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Company Limited to Ninh Tinh village (Ninh Phuoc commune, Ninh Hoa) with a length of about 9.6km; Road to Van Phong Bonded Petroleum Warehouse (Ninh Phuoc, Ninh Hoa), about 3km long; Road from Provincial Road 1A to Xom Quan Resettlement Area (Ninh Tho commune, Ninh Hoa), 2.3km long. In addition, Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board has invested in the Vinh Yen Resettlement Area Project (Van Ninh) and Xom Quan (Ninh Hoa).
In early 2023, the Prime Minister approved the Adjustment of the General Planning for the construction of Van Phong Economic Zone to 2040, with a vision to 2050. This is an important basis to orient the development of the economic zone in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Route from National Road 1 to Dam Mon completed and put into operation

Vuong Xuan Phuong - Standing Deputy Head of the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board, said that to gradually concretize the goals of infrastructure investment for the economic zone, the province has been implementing a series of key projects.

 
At the same time, the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board is implementing a number of key works and projects, including road works outside Van Phong International Transshipment Port (phase 1) with a total length of 5.3km, within the area of handover (4.5/5.3km). The project to upgrade and expand provincial road 652B and provincial road 652D (section from provincial road 652 to National Road 26B) started construction on December 2, 2023, with a total length of 7km.
