Sanest Khanh Hoa ready for national volleyball championship

The national volleyball championship – Duc Giang chemical cup 2024 is going to kick off in Ha Tinh Province on March 30, joined by 9 male teams. Currently, most of the participating teams have decided their rosters and are actively practicing for the championship. Sanvinest Khanh Hoa have recruited one foreign player and are ready for the competition.

Unlike the previous championships, in this year’s tournament, nine participating male teams play in league format (single round robin) and are ranked based on points. The top 4 teams qualify for the final round (quarter-final and championship competition); the fifth placed team avoids relegation; the remaining teams will compete to decide 2 teams staying in the league. As planned, the round of ranking has 2 stages: stage 1 includes 20 matches and takes place in Ha Tinh Province from March 30 to April 6; stage 2 includes the remaining matches of the ranking round and final round and takes place in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province from November 23 to December 1.

According the some experts, the new format will help the teams to have the best preparation for the championship. The teams have prepared their forces through training sessions, Hoa Lu Cup and other tournaments. 

At the beginning of 2024, Sanest Khanh Hoa had a good opportunity to gain experience and improve their skills through the competitions with a strong team in Cambodia’s volleyball championship. At the present, the team are taking a training session and competing in Da Nang City and are going to travelling to Ha Tinh Province to prepare for stage 1 of the ranking round. Sanest Khanh Hoa have recruited Brazilian Ferreira Perotto, who used to play for some big clubs in India, Italia, Thailand, Argentina, etc. Quoc Doan and Thanh Phuong, who were on loan to Ha Tinh Club and displayed well last season, will return Sanest Khanh Hoa this season.

In stage 1, Sanest Khanh Hoa will play 4 matches against LaVie Long An, Da Nang, LPBank Ninh Binh and Ha Tinh. Besides LPBank Ninh Binh, the other teams are considered light opponents to Sanest Khanh Hoa. After unsuccessful 2023 season of not reaching the top 4, LPBank Ninh Binh have signed some domestic and foreign players thanks to investment from their sponsor. This season, LPBank Ninh Binh set a target of ranking among the top 4 teams.

Sanest Khanh Hoa have won 4 national championships and determine to secure this year’s championship title.
